Jim Hester is once again taking on 100k in June to raise funds for Day One Trauma Support.

Day One is the UK's only national charity the offers personalised care to help people affected by major trauma to rebuild their lives after their injury. This charity doesn’t receive Government or NHS funding, instead relying solely on public donations to give vital support to individuals who have experienced any kind of life-changing injury.

On June 29th, Jim will be competing in the Northumbrian Half-Iron Distance Triathlon, which involves a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run. The total distance of the triathlon alone is 112km.

Jim has already completed almost 100km, so with his additional training and triathlon distance, he will be well exceeding the 100km target by the end of the month.

As part of Jim's role as a personal injury lawyer at Parklane Plowden Chambers, he has seen the profound impact catastrophic injuries have on people's lives. Jim understands just how vital Day One’s services are, not just to the recovering individuals, but their family members and loved ones too.
